Those old school house sounds that were originally produced by peeps like Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez or Mood II Swing keep flying around these days and I must say that most of the new tracks using this are overdone meanwhile. There are however a few healthy exceptions and Unquantize, the more underground label of DJ Spen has been on the forefront of this healthy sound for quite some time. The new EP from Angel Mora & Bonetti contains two tracks that delve into the sound of house with innovation, without being too commercial or cheesy.
‘Fly With Me’ is laden with killer bass lines and drums that bounce with modern dance floor appeal. It is cleverly arranged and it will hook you from the very beginning. ‘She Wanna Dance’ is classically produced featuring enchanted vocal hooks and moody keyboard movements. Both tracks display Angel Mora and Bonetti’s attitude, which (as stated) is quite healthy! Top!
