The first 12” release of 2014 from this notable Chicago imprint, which has been responsible for unearthing a treasure trove of classic material from the roots of House music over the past decade, defy all sense of space and time with the re-release of these Acid gems. Armando ‘Land Of Confusion’ and Bam Bam ‘Where’s Your Child’ are not easy listens, especially the dark resonance of the latter from 1988, but that expression: they don’t make them like that anymore, certainly applies here. A further two unreleased numbers from Bam Bam, complete the record with the hot Disco sampling Acid workout of, ‘Move To Da Groove” (1988) and the smoother New Jersey Garage sound of, ‘Nightlife’ (1989) both feeling reminiscent of good times ahead.
