Astrocats are in fact Silicone Soul, as any trainspotter worth his matrix numbers will tell you, here releasing a party starting epic for their Darkroom Dubs imprint. It’s all nouvelle disco with a bit of added clout – chunky electronic grooves ala Moroder getting humped on the dancefloor by Sly & Robbie’s entire back catalogue. As if that weren’t enough to leave you breathless, flip the disc and you’ll be subjected to the wonderfully sleazy Drama Society remix. Full-on Italo styled energy with bags of class and a rudely warping bassline midway through. And that’s not even mentioning the crazily twittering synth lines and retro pads. Sheer genius on both parts – you know you want it.
