East London’s Moscow label managed to establish themselves as a fountain of quality house music with their first three releases, but this gem from Athens DJ-producer Bengoa in cahoots with New Jersey’s Tony Rodriguez, aka Brothers Vibe, could be the best yet. The title cut rapidly establishes hypno-house nirvana with melodic bassline and gentle organ, joined by resonant Brothers Vibe intoning. ‘Be Free’ mines even deeper house stratas, adding sexy female vocal to breathy sonic cocoon unfolding with gossamer sensitivity. ‘Fig Tree’ rides a dominant old school bassline, creating an ethereal atmosphere with muffled voices and gloworm stiffies wafting overhead. Absolutely gorgeous set.
