This is great because it sounds plugged into technology but also remains emotive and musical too, not overly programmed and soulless. The Main Mix boasts a crunchy selection of funky notes that bounce along tastefully to the punchy rhythms and lovely Rhodes chords via this Berlin based label. However, there is an even better remix from Club Squisito which manages to blend haunting Trumpet together with ethereal voices and traditional French influences that comes up smiling. James Johnston then gets tougher with moodier bass, while the Beard Shaper’s Shaped Up Cut makes the grade with twisted and an imaginative selection of sounds pushing at the edges.
