It’s been a particularly strong week for da ladies of dance, with the Chicago’s doyenne returning to the fore after far too long in the shadows. The girl ain’t lost it, and with Cajmere’s production savvy the combination is an impressive one. Rumbling bass blends with organ-laced disco-grooves to create a simple, yet memorable backbone for Dajae to wrap her vocal charms around. Those not into Mark Grant’s mixes (that utilize the whole song) will find solace in the equally inventive Hugo Moya Mix which warps snippets around a cut-up horn riff, while the even sparser Green Velvet Remix adds an even funkier backdrop.
