If you thought ‘Changes’ was hot, you ain’t heard nothing yet! When Pete Tong proclaims: “We haven’t had a tune like this for a while” you know you’re onto something big. Everything about the production, song and mix package of this burbling offering is perfectly well established: the bassline and synth flurries are blended with ease to create a smooth backdrop atop sits a series of gauzy, burbling squelches reinforce the polyrhythm chords and relentless swinging hi-hats, that all aid Nastala’s sensuous vocals. Funky, hypnotic rhythms and lush ethereal melodies combine to draw you further-and-further in. A musical, melodic and totally enveloping release with a killer remix set featuring one of ATFC’s best.
