Class 71
Alba Adriatica
Four Twenty

The mighty Four Twenty unleash another pure house titan, this time Class 71 following their ‘Diamond Door’ debut with an absolute epic. The original uses 13 minutes to subtly build on an old school Chicago bassline with intricate keyboard embellishments and percussive tweaks, establishing a hypnotic momentum before the live sax breezes in after a few minutes. There’s also a haunting saxless dub before the killer punch when veteran house producer Move D comes in for a blistering treatment which uses the original elements sautéed with his trademark percussive spicings, soulful vocals voices and jazzy riff dynamics: reminiscent of the early 90s Dutch house excursions which made his considerable name and absolutely marvellous. He also contributes a second, deeper version to complete a set which I can only say you have to track down if you love classic house music.
