As the boundaries in proper house get blurred even further (thanks to the likes of AME / Dennis Frerer) along comes a beauty from Matthew Johnson’s stable a 90s NYC house organ led fusion that uses techy/minimal grooves and bass with sythns n chords that wouldn’t be out of place on a King St record. The produces – Tate, Dhula And Joghnson himself perform this groove live and in a world of laptop programmed mediocracey this stands out like Lionel Messey would at West Ham (lol).
