Copyright follow the roof raising ‘He Is’ with another massive gospel outing, only this time round it’s packing even more of an old school vibe. ‘We Can Rise’ opens on rolling Dinosaur L rhythms, which lead to the hooky as you like vocal chant, while the rhythm develops into tribal territory, accompanied by an excellent lead from Tasita D’Mour, and some Detroit flavoured key riffs. ‘We Can Rise’ has got a certain Civilles & Cole ‘Deeper Love’ feel about it, which can only be a good thing. I think it’s about time Danny Tenaglia was taken out of storage and put to work on this.
