Creamer & Vukas
Jingo
NY Love

If the Gap Band’s ‘Oops Up Side Your Head’ was responsible for the novelty rowing craze in the early ’80s (ask your parents kids!), then ‘Jingo’ by Candido, started the now embarrassing formation line-dance, complete with twirled, kicked and shuffle! Percussionist Candido, with Kleeer vocalist Woody Cunningham, created near mayhem with their curiously titled cover of a song originally recorded by Santana in the late ’60s. Almost four decades to the day it makes a welcome return in near identikit fashion (to the Candido version) from John Creamer and producer Jody Vukas who deliver a record that’s guaranteed to find favour in Miami.
