Release number 31 sees the labels head deliver two equally deep cuts with the EP’s title track building a sense of anticipation like no other. Maybe that’s because the regular beat that you expect to happen never actually appears but what you are left with is a tension building sequence of percussive sounds, coupled with a moody musical loop and commanding voice, that cuts the atmosphere with a knife edge. Fred P then adds the kick drum into his Reshape version with additional keys giving it a warmer feel as the smoky part of the vocal feels more soulful here. Second track, ‘Blue Moon’ is tougher and techier with fiery snares and moody synth lines creating yet another intense listening experience.
