Jellybean Soul revisit this 1994 release which has now been remixed by DJ Meme and Jovonn who give it a 2008 make over in differing ways and with varying degrees of success. But while it’s hard to fault Darryl D’Bonneau’s exuberant vocal delivery, which sees him reach the heights of the vocal range, it has to be said that Jovonn’s deeper treatment is simply more effective. Not that there’s anything wrong with the Meme mixes but the breezier feel doesn’t give the song as much impact. The ‘Original Mix’ is also included for reference.
