An underground classic from the early 90’s gets dusted off for D’Bonneau’s latest Jellybean Soul release. The original mix (also included) is a tight little soulful Garage nugget with uplifting piano licks and that typical shuffling beat, hugely uplifting, and it’s this vibe that Brazil’s DJ Meme locks into. Polishing the production to bring out the piano and bass, the only other change is a slightly re-arranged song , but the overall result is a summery anthem that foregoes gimmicks in favour of a fantastic song and groove. Jovonn employs a typically stripped back NY feel for those early hours moments. Buy on sight – recommended!
