‘Fa Fa Fa’ is lifted from Datarock’s critically acclaimed and certainly happening, self titled debut album, but it first saw the light of day last year, when it appeared on Annie’s excellent ‘DJ Kicks’ compilation, and then going on to become a firm live favourite, so it’s only natural that now it’s getting a well deserved release in it’s own right. ‘Fa Fa Fa’ is Datarock having a party, in it’s very funky original form, it comes bounding on like Talking Heads at the top of their game, then in comes African guitar Talcy Malcy style, before breaking down to bassline and vocals, which lead back to the fun filled euphoric song. Remixes come from Shakes, who gives it a dirty acid techno going over, and Princess Superstar who takes an excellent sexy disco route. You’ll be singing along before you know it.
