Dave Seaman – ‘Justified Replacement of Lulu’ – (Remixes)

Active for just shy of two years, Dave Seman and Steve Parry’s Selador records hits the grand old age of 18 in releases with the aural equivalent of an illicit houseparty when your parents are away. Seaman’s already large ‘Justified Replacement of Lulu’ gets the once over (read our interview with him about it here) by a stellar class of groove merchants, signing out 2014 in style for the label

The lead mix comes from Cristoph, a man who ends 2014 on a high after a year dominating the virtual record boxes of jocks across the globe. His effort here is a cleverly produced effort that’s a little bit meatier and muscular than previous productions, showcasing a tougher dynamic which works great.

Old head Joeski gets to grips with the groove as well, crafting a typically meticulous workout which heads for the jugular on a deeper tip. The dark synths of the original come to the fore more on Raxon and Marc Manzerit’s respective efforts, the latter managing to retain that delicious 3am vibe that permeated the original track. If this is what adulthood is all about Peter pan couldn’t of got it more wrong.
