Love this. ‘Rebel Heart’ says all you need to know about the label and then some. Not only is DAVI’s production exceedingly good but it’s the imaginative blend of atmosphere’s that lend this such strength. Layers of chords and voices undulate as brooding bass notes glide across crisp drums and that’s only the beginning. In fact words don’t really do it much justice. The remix care of Mark Jenkyns gives it a more abrupt edge with harder, techy notes providing a tasteful compliment. ‘Anunnaku’ the second track again has squelchy, funky bass and eastern scales play off each other most effectively with final number, ‘Two Suns In The Sky’ feeling cinematic and rather beautiful.
