At a time when mainstream house is so commonly populated with (sampled) vintage disco, it’s quite refreshing to come across raw re-rubs that aren’t squarely aimed at the charts or radio. The debut single of Detroit Inc (DJ Godfather & Mike ‘MS’ Scroggs) chews Loverboy’s ‘Turn Me Loose’, some forgotten euro-disco anthem rescued from the eighties’ vault, which gets given the underground treatment (4/4 Sneak style or darker electro-breaks tip).
