What works best here is the off kilter tension between Dionne Mitchell’s jazzy harmonies and the high energy percussion of the Funky Mix, which if you favour the more traditional flavours of House music are well worth your attention. Nothing too radical but then this does work nicely. The second track Turn Up The Heat once again features more of those exuberant vocals with a variety of mixes aiming to match the performance from this new London label.
