It’s over to Southern Germany for the latest dancefloor delight from Compost Black, as DJ Enne dishes two sides of unadulterated disco with a distinctive electronic flair. The A side is given to “Lazise”, a combination of rubbery Moroder-ish bass and percussion which allow deep Italo styled synth washes and acid gurgles to gradually build. Side B shows a mellower and more defiantly modern disco style, hailing back to the days of Balearica, with whispered girly vocals (courtesy B Sowfy) and lovely plucked guitar amidst the hypnotic melodies. Great double-header – could well be one of the stayers of the summer.
