I’ve been down on allstar collaborations this week, mostly because most are just not worth the effort it takes to listen to them and none of them say anything particularly new. And then sometimes you really do get the best of both worlds. For ‘Bloodstream’ Ed Sheeran – one of my favourite male singer / songwriter / guitarist / solo artists goes in for the kill in a head-to-head Clash of the Titans with Rudimental – who are possibly the best live act I saw last year. Rudimental put their outrageous, fiery, acetylene powered drum and bass torch to Ed Sheeran’s folk-tinged, lyrical acid burn. So tell me when it kicks in ? Right about now. Massive hit guaranteed.
