The Electric Chair in Manchester has for quite a while now, had the reputation of being one of the best nights out in the U.K. It’s eclectic make up is put together by The Unabombers, who’s soul stirring shenanigans are also the backbone of the ‘Get Up EP’, you see the Unabombers are the Electrons. ‘Get Up’ has got the most badass funk fuelled soul I’ve heard in ages, with Pete Simpson delivering an outstanding vocal, ‘Get Up’ comes on like The Temptations meets Marvin Gaye meets Kool & The Gang meets The Fatback Band. Simply irresistible. Fuck the 80’s ‘Let’s go 70’s.
