Justin & Luke Unabomber are the hosts of Manchester’s infamous Electric Chair night, and they’ve just added another feather to their talent caps by forming ‘Elektrons’, and delivering a single that sounds properly out there. ‘Dirty Basement’ is where his highness the Prince of purple & peach would love to be. Opening with traffic congestion and Eska on the mic, as soon as the first note hits, you‚re swept off of your feet in waves of bass with strong rhythmic undercurrents, that simply just can‚t fail to move you, topped off by sexy and infectious Paisley Park influenced vocals. ‘All I need is a dirty basement with the red lights on’. My sentiments exactly. If their forthcoming album is anything like this, we’re gonna be hearing a lot more of Elektrons in 2007.
