Manchester’s Luke & Justin Unabomber can’t put a foot wrong at the moment. As Elektrons they’ve just unleashed their fantastic debut LP ‘Red Light, Don’t Stop’, and from it comes the soon to be a hit ‘Classic Cliché’, which features the sweet and soulful vocals of Mpho Skeef, over sunshine soaked feel good grooves, that have got a funky disco twist, that builds to a sing-a-long poptastic chorus. Ashley Beedle is up first at the mixing desk, making the most of the mirror ball elements, and bringing out the sassyness in Mpho Skeef’s vocal. Wahoo are up next taking Elektrons on a bit of a tribal tip, reeling you in on building irresistible floor filling rhythms. Last but not least, the Small Arms Fiya Remix is set to do some serious bassbin damage. Saying ‘Classic Cliché’ is full of hooks, is a bit of an understatement. Watch this fly.
