Whatever you do, do not be misled by the title into thinking that this is just a dumb novelty record. Even though it kind of is. Drop the ‘Big Bang Ellington remix’ and you get a relentless boing-y bungee rope, bamboo keys and male vocal droning ‘Pina Colada’ on a loop that’ll make you jump up, kiss yourself, rewind, and do it all again. The K-Warren mix is all over the sort of old skool garridge vibes that made Twice As Nice the London institution that the old guard knew and loved. The Scoop & Alter Ego remix is a synth drenched, drum and bass high stepper whilst Serum & Benny V tear into it like a kid at christmas. I can hear the cry of ‘Rewind’ from here. Good underground package that’s kind of juicy.
