Varied four track EP from Testin’ Out records, Elastik Trickery and John Rowe (both regulars on the Newcastle techno scene) carving out two tracks each. Elastik Trickery supply the tech-housing “O Beberrao De Tanners”, reversed riffs, filtered samples and driving percussion working up a reasonable sweat; “Ego” is more straight ahead techno, gristly bass sounds rubbing up against a pummeling industrial drum track. John Rowe’s “Pigdog” is well produced minimal techno that gradually builds steam as it progresses, although it could benefit from an earlier build up; “Closed” is a bit of a winner, though. Again, fairly low slung and minimal but with some nice growling bass and more groove-wise action to hook on to.
