Well it had to happen. The track that turned everybody on to Friendly Fires is getting re-released, and this time round it’s set to be the huge hit it always deserved to be. Infectious frantic funky percussion, soaring choruses and chant like lyrics is what “Jump In The Pool” is made of, and now it comes backed with two firing on all cylinders remixes. First up is Stuart Price under his Thin White Duke moniker, laying down deep synth pads and a spun out breakdown. UK DJ collective Wild Geese round off the package with a pounding 4/4 drum led classic house/Italo influenced work out, boosting the funk factor with added drive and a nice line in piano scream up, making this one of the remixes of the year. “Jump in the, jump in the, jump in the…” It’s got summer 2009 written all over it.
