The lead track from DJ Hell’s impressive ‘Gigolo’ album gets a release as a single, and not before time. Bryan Ferry’s vocals are part of an unfinished song by the Roxy Music singer, and Hell came along to apply the chrome polish in the form of some seriously danceable house beats and bass. The original is hard to beat, but Carl Craig offers it the perfect pair of remix complements, with a dark and moody first mix that takes just the bare minimum from the vocal. The higher tempo second is the one to go for though, powering through the gears with a riff that just won’t say no. That’s before we even get to the mixes by Simian Mobile Disco, a high octane number, and Tim Goldsworthy, who takes his down memory lane to the 1980s. An excellent package to invest in without delay.
