I reviewed the original Henry Krinkle ‘Stay’ release a few weeks back here on these very pages, so it is with great pleasure that Justin Martin (one of the most consistently creative dj / producers of the moment) refreshes the parts that the original couldn’t quite reach. He adds a wobbly bass with a bottom end that vibrates like it is sitting on a washing machine at the peak of a 1600 spin cycle. Add a spacious drop which folds its loving arms around you and you are falling in love with every person around you who is smiling and enjoying the music just as much as you. It keeps the underground edge but with a keen ear and eye on what lifts dancers from pure pleasure to ecstasy and back. Class.
