Around earlier in the year as a Subliminal import and the follow-up to last year’s surprisingly overlooked J-Sonic recorded ‘Release The Pressure’ that cleverly worked the O’Jays’ ‘Darling Darling Baby’ groove into the grey matter. Jason Herd and Jon Fitz are once more partnered with Abigail Bailey’s sweet and intoxicating vocal talent on a track inspired by Kariya’s ‘Let Me Love For Tonight’. Although, unlike the import versions, this new set of mixes sidesteps Erick Morillo & Dave Darlington’s superior version in favour of a handful of new creations (including a strong brace by the Freemasons) that whilst good, some how miss the essence of what made the track so essential in the first place.
