Three brand new tracks go to make up this release for Steve Bug’s Audiomatique and as you might expect from this duo no punches are pulled. ‘Jane’s Addiction’ starts with a surge of quirky rhythms that soon command your attention by the time the unsuspecting breakdown hits. And then it’s off again via pulsating synths and some excellent drum programming which is augmented by the human touch of vocals. ‘Affects The Spirit’ continues with more forward-thinking percussion, further voices alongside a looser, funkier feel and sounds all the more impressive for it. ‘Ion’ ends on a high with low-slung bass tones and rolling, tribal drums completing this undoubtedly impressive EP.
