Yet more sampled-based shenanigans from RenŽ & Gaston, those ‘good men’ behind a hundred prestigious nicknames (Dobre & Jamez, Klatsch!, Chocolate Puma, Rhythmkillaz, Trancesetters, Tomba Vira etc). Based on the vocals of I. Maissan and some mad rock loop which you half recognise, ‘Rodeo’ is another indie-house monster. Filthy and seriously mental, you could dub it human techno. A bit more stripped down ‘Brains’ and ‘Less Brains’ are even better, spitting out a live, gritty funk that will raise the roof of any big club with an up-for-it crowd.
