James Teej is yet another recent name to emerge from Canada’s house hot-bed and this unusual outing is currently causing a stir already. The ethereal original plants his floaty vocal over nagging marimba groove, laced with distant Mayday-style strings. His love of the Doors is apparent in the overall atmosphere so he deserves top marks for even know they exist! The Affkt and Fiddo remix is pretty amazing, taking off on a percussive jazzy funk tip with Rhodes and intertwining space-jam action going off. Ripperton goes dark and eerie with jumping beats and eerie organ, completing a fairly startling package from another name to watch.
