West coast nutter Joshua – better known as Iz from Iz & Diz – pops up solo in outstandingly individual steak pie form. The title track is true Classic-style warped slinkiness with muted piano and acid groping each other
in the bushes under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs. ‘Echo Chamber’ gives full rein to the man’s dub-reggae fixation as trumpets richochet, rastas call and synths pulse subtly over the chugging acid house riff. Then it’s pure reggae for the closing ‘Slow Echoes’. The duo’s ‘Mouth’ was big, and this will be too.
