The vintage sound of Subliminal returns disguised as Pacha Red on KC Taylor’s high octane ‘Saw Cut’. KC hails from Cannes and is part of a stable of French producers and DJs under the expert tutelage Sandy Vee. His debut has all the hallmarks of Erick Morillo’s groundbreaking label circa 1997-1999 with the added twist of some energised French fried filter funk. ‘Saw Cut’ is another of those kaleidoscopic sonic textured instrumental disco pastiches cut from the same cloth as past releases on Crydamoure and by Junior Jack and Antoine Clamaran in their prime. This works on the principle of blending funky breaks, chopped up disco loops and an assortment of filtering techniques trust me when I say this rocks! Enchante.
