Kiko – Grenoble – (Noir Music)

Regular partner of Olivier Giacomotto, Kiko steps into the solo limelight on Noir Music with a fierce and sharp fanged tech house double tracker that draws blood like a thirsty vampire. ‘Grenoble’ is a grumbling builder with psychotic cymbals, a bass line that pumps like an open vein and effects that scoop you up in their swirling eddies. ‘Apollo’ is a tech funk dance off, all hand claps and break dance posturing around a stuttering, disco nrg bassline. This device pretty much takes the strain whilst the industrial sounding incidentals weird it out and launch it into the stratosphere until you feel like you’ve been projected into some sort of outer space shuttle scrapyard. It’s crazy and the sort of end of the night record that will leave those left on the dancefloor completely bug eyed. Wonderful.
