Release numéro deux for Menace and his exciting new imprint following last month’s Five Star-esque ‘Voyage’. ‘Jupiter’ is an altogether different animal sounding not a million miles removed from Fred Falke’s ‘Omega Man’ (also to be found on Kris’ other Work It Baby label) that is similarly also cut from the same cloth that Linus Loves used to fashion ‘The Terrace’ – another street smart Stevie Nicks parody that will win favour with DJs, and radio programmers alike. It’s backed with the midtempo shuffling ‘Micropacer’ that’s a funkier ‘80s sounding number that you’d think may have been sampled from Cameo, Stephanie Mills, Colonel Abrams or a multitude of other dance artists from that decade – it’s not – completely sample-free and oozing of retro-goodness.
