This is clearly one of the standout releases from the label to date and I say that because this packs such an emotional punch that it’s too hard to ignore. Pulsating beats lend ‘Mover’ a refreshingly breezy groove which are then offset by stabbing synth lines and probing vocal lines eventually releasing the tension over a particularly atmospheric breakdown. ‘Everything On Its Way Down’ continues the theme of original music with another blend of deep tones accompanied by emotive vocals and playful beats. Finally, ’Closer’ finishes off with soulful vocals making their presence more fully felt against a backdrop of sizzling synthesisers and crunchy drums completing this first rate EP.
