This Parisian producer came within a whisker of the Buzz Chart pole position back in July when paired with Kris Menace on the summer sleep, ‘Discopolis’. Now flying solo he returns with this excellent double header on the equally innovative Canadian Eyezcream imprint. ‘Adventure’ gets to grips with one of A-ha’s most nostalgic moments to create utter big room devastation with an ‘80s twist, while ‘High On’ lovingly rides a funked-up bassline atop rhythm-smart melodies that at times boarder on progressive, trance and old school rave genres without ever fully dipping their toes in any of them. It’s an odd combination, yet one that works surprisingly and makes this a must have Gallic double.
