The stunning new single from Luciano begs the question: why can’t more new music be as forward-thinking, and not so afraid of shades of melody and musicality. At almost fourteen minutes in duration its combination of pulsating electronic beats, probing notation and even the occasional sprinkle of reassuring keys contrasting all the intensity is every bit as blissful. That, and dOP vocalist JAW who delivers a first-rate breathy and dangerously potent vocal to augment the unrelenting arrangement. Remixes come from Dennis Ferrer who supplies two versions with his Drum Mix sounding particularity excellent. And from Matthew Herbert who twists it into something else entirely via an out there One Direction Dub.
