We have nothing but the nicest things to say about our favourite German label “Great Stuff”. With a fine ear for a twisted melody and a growing gang of associated producers, all eager to tear up each others work they seem to be on something of a roll. It’s output ranges from abstract Sunday afternoon clicky wierdness to full on electro bangers (check Mason’s “Exceeder”). For this release Luetzenkirchen has cooked up a wicked piece of angular house energy, featuring a “Speak and Spell” narration of a chess match! It’s a rocking and rolling groove with a hot breakdown moment and a simply awesome rubber band bassline. Elsewhere Meat Katie takes a trip to an orbital rave with his heavy breaks mix and the artist’s own “Steam Mix” chills things out slightly whilst upping the wierdness factor.
