Michael Feiner’s ‘Mantra’ hits hard as progressive, nu-house and tech house hybrids go. It sounds like Ten Walls meets Samim but brandishing a daytime party light stick. It’s a hooky pan pipe and tribal tom driven, loud-farting showstopper. It’s got cowbells, chain gang chants, handclaps, whooshes and swells and the crispest, phattest, clearest production sounds that only the Swedes and the Dutch really seem to know how to exploit to the max without distorting everything in each track. It’ll blow speakers from Ultra to Uruguay. That’s all.
