No matter what your musical preference is, you really can’t beat a funky groove and ‘What I Need’ gives you just that and three times for good luck. The Barrientos remix has a rolling bass line that licks you from head to foot whilst teasing you with its (timestretched to Barry White potency) vocal snippet. Leigh D Oliver’s is an easier smoke, using MAW’s duck beats for his jump off and marshmallow soft synth pads for a gentler landing. The original is a four to the floor stomper with a pitch shifted bassline and grimy subs. Good stuff.
