It’s always a pleasure to come across the ex-Blondie singer, a legendary icon who sounds as meaningful today as she did when she was fronting one of the best bands ever. Armand Van Helden gives ‘‘New York New York’ a very euro-sounding electro treatment (kinda ‘Fade To Grey’ meets ‘Blue Monday’ on steroids) whereas the always on form Tocadisco delivers a full vocal reinterpretation that should get plenty of attention from those after no-nonsense electro-house. Last but not least that man Anders Trentemoller shines through once more with an impressive rework of ‘Go!’. Like some kind of miracle (these things rarely work), the gifted producer manages to breath a whole new life into the rave classic.
