Not a cover of Skyy’s ‘80s Salsoul nugget, yet still incredibly retro sounding in all three mixes (including one apiece by Marshall Jefferson and Romac) – that down largely to the inclusion of a penny whistle providing the main hook atop a piano-driven groove and funky bassline. It’s a soulful combination matched by an equally dated, yet easy on the ear vocal and song – think Jocelyn Brown in her Inner Life days.
