Dirty Funker and Dylan Rhymes’ new imprint unleashes their most accessible single yet with a retread of the Whisper’s disco classic as seen through the eyes, ears and mind of Messrs Clarke and Ashby. The former is best known “in the biz” for his Oven Ready label and productions, while Barcelona’s John Ashby looks set for a promising career if his hand in rekindling this party-starter is anything to go by. Top honours goes to Funk L’amour who deliver a mix not a million miles removed from Stardust’s retro ramblings of yesteryear, and whilst they may be a new name on the scene, rumour has it they’re an established (and Fingerlickin’ good) production outfit! A great club record.
