Three equally quality tracks adorn this latest from Kerri Chandler’s Madtech. Opening with the 90’s inspired, ‘The Menace’ which builds neatly with classic pounding House bass and shuffling drums, accompanied by tell-tale vocal snippets and strident stabs, this will undoubtedly work wonders when dropped at the right moment. ‘Hypnotize’ then provides a more intriguing selection of atmospheric sounds coupled with deep feeling organ providing darker inflections. ‘Hawk’ finishes off the EP with more gripping stabs amid held string notes and rhythmic keys all arranged via a tense arrangement of builds and drops, which again work most effectively from the duo.
