Brighton duo Phil West and Tony Goldstone make their debut on Darkroom Dubs but have been immersed in proper house music since the late 80s. You can sense the knowledge and passion for the music flowing through the three tracks – ‘Stoked’, ‘Justify’ and the title track. Deep, dark and prowling the early hours dancefloor with deadly basslines stuffed down its strides. Through its course the EP can range from deep and eerie to melodically gorgeous. A truly outstanding first crack which sounds like Phil and Tony have been building up to it for years, so they should be very proud.
