Like most underground Dutch DJS and Producers, Oliver Twizt’s musical style, influences, knowledge and productions span many genres, his productions are slick and even though he can make a housequake with little or no effort, he is pretty hard to pigeonhole. With the last few releases on New State we have seen him sticking more to the more commercial big room sound and this EP sees him advancing further down that road. ‘Skin Party’ is that soaring, banging, late night sound that has made the Bingo Players and their Hysteria label so popular. It’s not stand alone but will sit well in the late night mix. CTRL is a bleeped out, chugging progressive / trance house banger. Both tracks make respectable big room cannon fodder but I found the last EP with Truck Volume and Crush was a lot more entertaining.
