Pablo Nouvelle regales us with ‘You’re Poison’ – it thankfully has nothing to do with Alice Cooper but is just a simple, stripped back, slo-mo house cut that’s pumped up via the subs and lets Tulliae’s strung out, melancholic ‘doo doo’ vocal rock you with her tripped out lullaby. Maxxi Soundsystem’s swirling synth-led, germanic-sounding, speaker buzzing refre is so clean that it folds itself straight out of the remix dryer. It cuts cleaner still as a rapier sharp bassline led dub. Maxxi Soundssytem is on fire here, so buy, beg, borrow (but don’t steal) your copy – you’ll share it only where it matters – on the dancefloor.
